We have an increasingly good, propagated, stock of this sublime species. White flowers with a methylene-violet throat, red stigmata and yellow anthers. There is variation in the depth and amount of the violet not all have a large violet throat but all are beautiful in the extreme.
These are plants raised in cultivation, from seed of the original discovery which was from the locus classicus where it was discovered by Erich Pasche of Wuppertal; A small number were collected and our entire stock stems from just three plants which came direct to us from Erich soon after the plant was named.
Best under garden conditions, in a well drained soil in a sunny spot. It does NOT like fuss - cherish it under glass (i.e. torture it, in a pot) and you will over bake it and desiccate it. Be brave, plant it out, get the soil conditions right, and be rewarded.
