Crocus oreocreticus

One of the deepest coloured members of the sativus group from the high mountains of Crete.

Strongly veined and feathered purple petals contrast with bright yellow anthers and ruby stigmata.

A mountain plant, and one of the best of the group for cooler damper gardens.
