Arisaema fargesii

Polished glossy 3-part leaves and an overhanging, hooded spathe of mahogany and translucent white. The spadix, in the centre, is deep purple-brown. The whole plant grows from a rather small, firm pink tuber.

A reliable and attractive species inexplicably scarce. This offering is raised from an old central European stock of proven garden hardiness and vigour, happy in almost any soil and site that will grow a bulb.
