Paeonia
Paeonia are VERY LATE RIPENING. We upload our new range in October of each year. Delivery starts mainly in November.
All of our Paeonia are hardy here, in slightly limey soil, in dappled shade. Most are in short supply and often expensive. They are slow to grow and propagate. Paeonia are not for people who want instant gratification. They are plants for the patient gardener, prepared to wait a few years for results (and for a late season delivery).
Paeonia dislike transplanting, late Autumn is best. They may sulk for a season, making little growth, or dying back early. This is the norm. They come up full of vigour the next year as long as they have not been damaged by an exploratory finger checking their welfare!
Spring delivery – we try to have them all sent out in February and March and well before April. Customers in cold countries should be aware of this short window. We cannot accept orders stipulating April/May delivery, our first species are already in flower here by April.
Available for ordering from October to March. Open ground plants, sent as bare-root rhizomes.
Currently limited to UK sales, but if you are overseas and would like to buy any then please email us to check the extra shipping costs (heavy) and shoot development (hence fragility).
