Description
The Himalayan Maidenhair fern is an ideal companion plant for such woodsy subjects as Anemone, Ϲalanthe, Ϲypripedium, Paris, Trillium and dwarf Lilium, enjoying the same conditions of light shade, humus rich soil and humidity.
It makes fresh green, virtually evergreen foliage on black stems, turning a lovely bronze in autumn. In a mixed planting it helps improve humidity and shades the roots of more delicate species.
Like the companion plants above, it tolerates dry soils and full sun badly. Plant and leave to establish mats, disturbing as little as possible.
