Description
A superb new form this is a tall strain originally grown from seed collected from Bukhara in Central Asia.
This carries intense and brilliant-blue, ball heads on stems 40-70 cm tall from the middle of June onwards.
Perfectly happy in a decent, garden soil in full sun, dry in the summer. In damper gardens this may benefit from annual lifting and briefly drying (2-3 weeks) in June/July before immediate replanting.
This is worth any amount of trouble but it can be a little tricky to establish. It grows very well once it is growing, but it needs careful summer storage and immediate planting once you receive it.
Introduced to our lists June 2004 but only available now and again.
