Description

(formerly know as Allium senescens montanum )

An easily grown, yet non-weedy plant that slowly forms tight clumps of narrow, deep green, evergreen leaves. This is a particularly dwarf form of the subspecies.

Above these leaf-tufts, rise small stems bearing good-sized flattened heads of pink-purple flowers, late in summer and into autumn, when they become covered with late-feeding bees and butterflies. The whole, dwarf tuft isd a glorious sight and the flowers are borne freely once the plants become established.

Easy out in the garden and anything from cool and slightly shaded to sunny, hot and dry, is fine.

Raised from CH.892 (1987)
