Description
This has short stems with dwarf, slender growths topped by feathery, mid-green, dissected foliage. Above this foil are borne small flowers of deep rich yellow. It has an overall appearance and colour like Anemone ranunculoides but it is half the size and with twice or three times as many flowers, once established.
This floriferous miniature may look delicate but it is very tough and especially cold hardy as it originates in Krasnojarsk in Western Siberia where it is considered a relic of the tertiary broadleaf forests that predated the present coniferous taiga.
Leafy soil in light shade. Shockingly miniature, flowering sized rhizomes.
