Description

(syn Viridiflora)

A wondrous form in which each petal, anther and style is converted to a small green leaf, to make an unbelievable, mossy-green tangle of a flower. As all of the sexual parts of the flower have been converted, so this is not fertile and it is thus it is very long lasting.

This clone makes a much fatter rhizome than Green Fingers with which it seems to have been confused by some growers. The two are different a very distinct.

This was originally received from Molly Sanderson in Ireland who discovered and named it and so we believe this is the true plant. The plant is it should be noted, slightly variable and the degree of “foliation” in the flower is affected by how recently it has been transplanted, stress and water stress/dryness. These minor variations all settle down when the plant is established and not disturbed. However other forms (some of which are very lovely) are also doing the rounds under this name.
