Description
Robust growth, with a large, trifoliate emerald-green, shiny, wax-like leaf, edged, in some plants with a thin red band. The inflated spathe is beautiful and rich reddish-brown, striped in translucent white. Light shines through the white areas. The spathe tapers into a long drawn-out tip and the spadix is also elongated and of the same colour, both hanging down attractively, almost to the soil surface in the case of the spadix.
Easily grown outside in a leafy, shaded spot in humus enriched but well-drained soil. In time this will form clumps and it is a very garden-worthy plant.
