Description
Superbly mottled and striped shoots, like snakeskin, give rise to a rich caramel spathe, broadly lined in white. The interior is brown and white striped, toning to pure white in the centre, around the white candle-wax spadix.
The leaves appear later and are deep shiny green. Described by one enthusiast as ‘one of the most outstandingly beautiful Arisaema that I have ever seen’.
Hardy and easy. This is a vigorous stock of quite a large form, traceable to Szechuan, originally from over 3,500m altitude China. June flowering with us.
