Description
(syn. italicum albispathum)
Plain green or slightly marbled leaves and a spathe which opens in palest green but soon changes to white, thinly edged in contrasting purple in this form. The spathe wraps around a cream, pale lemon, or even light-caramel, spadix which provides a superb contrast to the pale spathe which seems to glow in the evening light.
This is the Caucasian plant, fully hardy in the open ground here and not needing much in the way of special treatment other than humus and a fertile soil.
