Description

Plain, deep green leaves and ghostly lemon-lime spathes with a yellow spadix, in May. The colouring can however vary and some spadices can be reddish, whilst some spathes can also take on purple or reddish tones at the edges or as an age effect.

This makes very robust growths from tubers which become deep-seated and strongly perennial. It survives a whole range of conditions even persisting under large conifers here.

Originally from FYR Macedonia (1982). Easy, hardy and tolerates sun or shade. Garden.
