Description
A rare Russian species with remarkable deep purplish-red spathes. These are unique in their colouring and are borne in April and May over plain deep green sagittate leaves.
Despite its rarity, it is best in the garden, and fully hardy here.
The tuber on this stock is of the ‘vertical’ type, as it should be. Raised from a stock originally found in the Krasnodar SSR.
