Description

This has nicely patterned leaves which are spotted and dotted in little localised clumps of pale, sage-green over a deeper green base colour.

The flowers in asaroides generally are a good size and are squat and plump in relation to many species. In this clone the petals have a much more yellowish base tone and very few, to no, specks or freckles. The edges are folded back but this is smooth and the edges are not folded.

The depth of the throat tube is deep, imperial purple whilst the entrance is reddish-brown and white, in alternate stripes which progressively become less and less in height however in this clone, the white is much more prominent and the warty rings of tissue are more sharply defined. The contrast with the petals rather than merging into them. Have a look at our picture and you will see what I mean.
