Description

This has nicely patterned leaves which are a blue-green but with the central leaf vein, and some of its subsidiary veins, picked out in silvery-sage.

The flowers in asaroides generally are a good size and are squat and plump in relation to many species. In this clone the petals are a shade of avocado green and the flowers are a little larger than most clones. The petal edges are folded but this folding is much more relaxed than the smaller and more intricate folds of (for example) Genbou. The avocado base colour is tempered by a fine mist of minute purple spotting, which presents as shading, rather than distinct colour patterns. This is lacking from the petal edges, which, in contrast, are a purer, unshaded green.

The depth of the throat tube is a garnet red and the entrance is paler green to (sometimes) almost white. The folded, warty rings are slightly less fussy than other clones, being larger and more entire and the outer ones are almost over-hanging in the way that some human brows become with age!
