Description
Deep green, virtually evergreen, leaves which are beautifully patterned, zoned and marbled with silvery-green and sage green in an irregular pattern set around a dark central zone. The very edge of the leaf repeats the sage green patterning as a think line.
The flowers of this form are large and site at ground level, facing upwards and spreading their petals over the soil surface. The petal texture is almost warty and the colouring as a deep and rich olive-green with the mouth of the throat being picked out in plum purple, with a raised area being contrasted with flecks and knobbles a very pale shade of yellow-green. Despite being largely a green plant with green flowers, this makes its remarkable presence felt by virtue of its unusual appearance, colour variations, textures and of course, the slightly scented foliage common to much of the genus.
