Description
A compact plant with just two or three, hairy-edged leaves below a dense conical spike in which the yellow flower buds are held on short pedicels. As the flower opens, so the colour turns to brown whilst the pedicel elongates, reaching a remarkable 5 cm long!
A rare Turkish endemic. Like most Bellevalia it is neither blousy nor showy, but if you already like the genus, then this is a nice addition to the species in cultivation.
