Description
(syn. grandiflora, howellii, synandra)
The “Harvest Brodiaea”
Rose-violet flowers on stems, about 20 cm. tall. Each cluster is few-flowered but these are individually large; some 4 cm. long. The tube is short below long petals and three broad, flat, white staminodes. Probably the widest ranging brodiaea. The southern populations in N. California & Oregon are diploid, whilst the northern populations which occur as far north as Canada are tetraploid.
