Description
Widely spread in the wild from the Himalayas to Japan, it is as tolerant, and as amenable to cultivation, as this wide range might imply.
The spikes carry several large flowers, of a shape so typical of orchids that even the novice would recognise it as such. This has lime green tepals and a frilled, blood-red lip with white markings.
Hardy and vigorous, although still difficult to obtain. These are nice flowering sized plants grown and produced here and veterans of our -17°C winter of 2010.
