Description
This is a high altitude species from the European Alps, with small clusters of small pink flowers quite early in the season for Autumn species, from late August onwards. The leaves which follow the flowers are neat and tidy, seldom attaining much in the way of length or width.
Cultivation is not difficult but this is a small species, with small bulbs and small growth, (though it gets larger in cultivation) thus it needs siting carefully, or put growing in the alpine house or trough. There is NO suggestion of tenderness, the species is very hardy and our suggestion is based purely on its size.
