Description
This bears a small rosette of leaves which are totally covered in a fine down of silvery hairs and these are produced in spring at the same time as the bright pink, clustered flowers, which appear sequentially.
A delightful miniature which must be in contention for the prize of the smallest Colchicum. Ideal in a pot or a very carefully chosen site in the garden, but easily grown and fully cold hardy.
Small bulbs are of course normal in this species.
