Description
A new spring species, propagated from the type collection.
Pale pink flowers, with wide triangular petals lying flat in the sun, showing their yellow anthers (purple when unripe) and emitting a strong perfume. Each corm makes several flowers. Adapted to flowering as the snow thaws in spring.
Curiously-shaped, elongated bulbs, the size of a short finger. These are unique, being nothing like any other Colchicum.
Munzur River valley, E. Turkey, 1990.
