Description
A new cultivar from Japan with leaves which are covered (in good light) with diffuse golden stripes and broken lines, each made of speckles and spots.
The effect is very different to ‘Shiro Fukurin Fu‘ (which has a white border to the leaf) and it is a rather splendid thing.
Half-shade at most, but this is better in full sun, (to get the best contrast on the leaf). In full sun, this especially appreciates a humus-rich soil, which will retain some moisture. A remarkably vigorous plant for one with so much gold on the leaf. Grown primarily for its foliage but fragrant, white flowers are made in May.
