Description

Convallaria majalis Silberconfolis is a relatively new cultivar with a very prominent, and conspicuous, bright white edge to the otherwise dark green leaves. The white band is very eye-catching and though it varies a little, from narrower to wider in width it is always very well-defined and it holds this definition well into the season.

This is the largest growing clone that we grow and it can reach 40cm or more tall here with good strong growths and moderate increase once it is established (however after transplanting expect a year while it sleeps before it creeps before it leaps).

The flowers are large, pure white and wonderfully fragrant borne on quite short stalks.

I think that the name is originally German, though our first few plants originally came to us from the Netherlands, some years ago.
