Description
A stunning species described by Professor Per Wendelbo in 1974. A distinctive and desirable horticultural plant.
Highly glaucous silvery-grey divided leaves in a tuft only 10cm tall and a spike of up to 20 flowers and elegant, slender blooms of white or pale pink hovering over the leaves. The mouth of each is deep, dark purple whilst the spur is upturned and subtly infused with the same purple. With maturity the whole flower flushes pink-purple.
Dryish, well-drained sunny spot, or pot, as for popovii and ledebouriana – not for the woodland garden. Talysh Mts., Iran.
