Description
Quite tall plants (at perhaps 45-60cm), taller than most of our species) with long spikes of primrose-cream flowers each tipped in deep cherry red. Quite tall and one of the most spectacular species for garden display as it makes several stems of sliver clouded, blue-green leaves per established tuber, each bearing a substantial flower cluster.
Not often offered, as the large, strangely-shaped tubers are difficult to handle and pack, but it is readily grown in a leafy soil in a sunny spot. This species needs a year to establish and root down properly but then the DISPLAY really starts.
