Description

A compact clone with short growths and amazing peloric flowers in which the side petals are transformed to a second lip. This results in heart-shaped flowers which appear to be larger and more substantial than ordinary C. solida forms. The flower also bears twin spurs, in the manner of some Dicentra. A remarkable and very distinctive plant with an appearance that was considered unique until we introduced its sister clone, Tunki.

In this clone the flowers are a bright orange-red, a colouring not far off the colour of the bird after which it is named, (though the bird is perhaps a touch more orange, whilst the plant is more inclined to pure red). However both are beautiful and highly distinctive.
