Description

This is, I confess, yet another pink clone of Corydalis solida however it is a distinct one in that it opens almost white, then progressively darkens through shades of red-pink, which infuses from the edges of the flowers. It has a very clean and strong, though pale, red-pink colouring (with no muddiness) and a really delightful dwarf habit. It does however retain the same number of flowers as its larger siblings, so that it has a lovely dwarf and crowded spike, perfect for a pot or pan. Yes there are lots of other pinks, but this one does stand out and is a particular favourite for its diminutive, floriferous, almost colour-changing nature.

Pot or pan under alpine glass, bulb frame or a garden spot, in light or partial shade and fully hardy here.

First released and named (and thus new to our lists) in August 2017. (and not all Cockatoos are yellow and white by the way)!
