Description
This new clone (2019) is a lovely white form of Corydalis solida and it is the only one, so far, with the twinned lip structure found in a sibling clone, Cock-of-the-Rock. Technically these are both peloric flowers with the side petals transformed to a second lip. This shape gives a very distinct, heart-shaped flower which in this case has the “beak” of the flower picked out with a tiny amount of violet. This is a true, blue-violet rather than the red-purple shades often found in the genus. The violet is repeated at the base of the spur where the stem holds each flower.
A fabulous new addition to our range, and a stand-out plant even amongst other white solida forms. Garden conditions are fine.
First released and listed here in September 2019.
