Description
It is always nice to have enough to spare of this lovely, yet still scarce, October flowering species, from southern Greece and her Islands.
Each autumn this makes a cluster of robust white goblets feathered and lined with varying amounts of purple on the exterior of the three outer petals. There is a small orange yellow throat and a style of the same orangey colour which contrast well with the white anthers found in this species.
A sunny garden spot with good drainage is excellent for this species which also does well in a pot of John Innes or loam-based compost under glass or in a bulb frame.
