Description
Selected on its first flowering from a seed-raised stock of Crocus hadriaticus this beautifully coloured form has many of the charateristics of C. mathewi which is suspected (but by no means proven) to be the other parent of what is presumed to be a hybrid, as the colouring is not a characteristic of pure hadriaticus.
Imagine a large-flowered variant of one of the C. mathewi Dream Dancer strain and you have the appearance in one, with gorgeous, soft violet flowers contrasting with bright red, saffron-bearing styles and chrome yellow anthers all set against a deeper, violet-purple, throat.
A vigorous and seemingly fertile form.
Raised by Antoine Hoog and selected in 2015. Introduced to our lists (and cultivation) in May 2019.
