Description
Again a Pasche and Kerndorff find and again from Hatay in Turkey, this time at 1300 m.
This one is totally different, it is stoloniferous and makes very good increase whilst still producing lovely light violet, hair-lined flowers plentifully. Makes small corms.
It benefits from garden cultivation, rather than pot growth, with the corms placed 6-7 cm deep to help reduce the production of the rice-grain cormlets which this species is prone to make, when planted shallowly (the trigger for this is a wide variation between day and night temperatures, which will occur in a pot or when they are not planted deeply enough).
