Description
Dark green, purple-backed, leaves are varying clouded and netted with diffuse silvery patterns. Above the foliage you can expect almost pure white, fragrant flowers of the same elegant appearance as balearicum, but larger. Some have a subtle infusion of palest pink, but this is not common.
Generally regarded as tender but it will take several degrees of frost without damage. Cultivation should be in a cool, moist, shaded spot in a leafy compost with a dryer summer (but not a ‘bake’).
Crete and Karpathos at up to 1300 m.
Despatched August to April.
