Description
Although the dividing line between subspecies is both blurred and disputed, the trend is that in this Cypriot and Turkish plant the flowers are smaller and/or more slender, they largely lack auricles but, perhaps more importantly, they are usually sweetly scented. (the larger, more westerly forms are not usually scented).
The leaves are every bit as good as in all forms of this lovely, versatile autumn-flowering plant.
