Description

Raised from material first found in the Taygetos mountains, close to Sparta, and named after the Greek hero of that ancient city.

This is a relatively uniform, seed-raised strain but there is inevitably some variation, mostly in leaf pattern, when any Cyclamen are grown from seed. Delightfully this variation also means that some of the plants are fragrant of Lily-of-the-Valley (Convallaria).

Vigorous and capable of making a large tuber in a relatively short time.
