Description
In its typical form this plant is a particularly bright and vivid, magenta-flowered form (hence the name). The colour however is, and should be, variable and despite the name, its taxonomic status is, at best, dubious.
Known only from the Peloponnese of southern Greece. In addition to good flower colour it has strongly silver-splashed, leaves. Hardy here.
