Description
Ever since we introduced the pale blue Deinanthe caerulea some years ago, we have been asked for “the other” species. This is the Japanese Deinanthe bifida. We try to listen and thus we have obtained a small stock of this plant from a Japanese nursery.
Slightly larger in all of its parts than caerulea, this extends to the flowers, which are larger and of a pure unsullied white. Likes similar conditions of still, humid cool air in shade.
