Description

There are several species of “fairy bells” in Asia and all are easy, elegant perennials for the shade garden, in humus-rich soil.

This species is Korean and robust, reaching  60 cm, with stems clothed in soft, downy foliage. Bloom after bloom opens along the stem. These flowers are bright, vivid yellow and are of a good size. It really is a cheery sort of plant, brightening a shady spot and totally earning its keep.

We offer this under the most frequently seen, “trade name” however there are those who cast doubts and say that all of the trade flavens is something else, of course there is always someone saying this, or similar, about many plants. We are keeping it under the well-known name until a proper, scientific study is done.

The plant spreads slowly to make a very decorative, tight clump or dense ground cover, over a small area. Very showy and trouble free here.
