Description

This is often seen in western gardens simply as “variegata” but we are retaining the Japanese name, simply because there are now several different named but variegated clones of D. sessile in cultivation, all of which could legitimately be labelled “variegata“, despite the fact theat they are all different. they all look very different and they all retain their characteristics over the years. This is the plant also (wrongly) grown as “variegated Uvularia” in the USA.

Strong growth and beautifully white lined leaves are borne reliably on a clump forming perennial species which has largew, hanging, white bells in May and June, followed by black berries in late summer and earely autumn.

Reliable and lovely.
