Description
A lovely Japanese clone in which the leaves are broad and borne close together on a short stem. They are largely creamy-white (rather than the primrose yellow of many variegated forms). The area in the centre of each leaf is almost totally green, whilst the margins especially towards the tips of the leaves, are alternately bright deep green and white, with a subtle infusion of blue into the green. This combines the beauty of good variegation with the vigour that comes from a good balance between non-photosynthetic white leaf and productive green leaf.
The contrast is superb and well defined and the plant is a very good one. Humus-rich, well drained soil in full sun, or with a little transient shade is perfection.
