Description

The normally deep green leaves of Disporum smilacinum are, in this form, palest primrose yellow to creamy white with parts of some of the leaf veins picked out in dark green.

The effect is like a snowy landscape in which darker fragments peek through the whiteness just here and there. The name, in Japanese, describes this idea of a snow covered scene, though it translates literally as ‘silver world’.

Growth for this clone is, as for the others, best in a sunny spot, with no more than light shade, in a humus enriched soil.
