Description
A little known species from the Fergana range of Kyrgyzstan. It is related, to the more common and widely distributed, Eremurus regelii but it is generally more dwarf in habit (50-70 cm) with a lax inflorescence and a more compact rootstock. Both share attractive dark, purplish-brown flowers which are borne in lovely candles in summer.
It seems to tolerate moisture well in summer (after flowering) and will over-summer in northern Europe in the ground, without problem in a well drained soil and it likes good drainage and sun anyway.
