Description
Good sized, pale pink-purple flowers which, away from the petal tips, shade through lighter pink to a small ring of almost white in the throat. On the outside of the flower, the yellow of the throat is more evident, creating an almost tricolour effect. This is considered early flowering but that is a matter of days, rather than weeks.
Pink Perfection is a clonal selection of pure Erythronium dens-canis (not a hybrid as some websites inexplicably suggest) the first record I can find of this in the literature is in the 1960s when it was offered by the Dutch firm of van Tubergen. It is possible it was offered elsewhere or by them, even earlier than this. No breeder or raiser is attributed by the KAVB.
