Description
These are seed-raised plants from cultivated plants, originating in turn from a wild seed collection made some years ago.
Deep-green leaves with sporadic but ornamental, purple marbling below spikes of wide-open, bright-pink flowers. There is a ring of yellow in the throat but this is only yellow, it does not contain any brown in the pure species (only in its hybrids with {mostly} E. californicum). Protruding yellow anthers and a deeply cleft, trifid style complete the vision!
Easily grown and capable of a superb display once established.
