Description
The pure deep golden yellow form of this normally black species. A great rarity, selected in Japan and increased vegetatively. Reputed to be tetraploid, though I have seen no verification of this.
Even if it were not so unusual then it would still be esteemed as it really is a gorgeous plant with a good deep yellow shade which is quite rare in the genus Fritillaria.
Rare yes, difficult no, this is excellent in a peat bed or similar humus-rich soil in light shade, or even full sun if enough water is provided at the roots.
