Description
Stems from 30-65 cm tall carry one to five large primrose-yellow bells. These are square in shape and are faintly speckled red inside.
The flowers are large and coupled with their attractive and unusual colouring this makes them very conspicuous and garden worthy, and garden is where they should be as they like cool, moist conditions with no dry summer rest. This species is very amenable to garden cultivation without much intervention from the grower.
Originally from the Russian/Chinese border, but grown in cultivation for innumerable years.
