Description
This is the form widespread in cultivation often under the name of the related, but distinct, Fritillaria verticillata.
This clone of thunbergii flowers nicely and makes white bells which are highlighted with green and marked internally with ruby-red chequers. The tips of the leaves are curling and wrap around adjacent plants.
Damp, humus-rich soil, needs no summer lifting. April.
