Description
(syn. Greatorex hybrid)
Full-sized, fully-doubled flowers are borne on noticeably compact growths, making a tremendous effect. This is an especially good clone as these flowers are borne both reliably and prolifically.
All in all an excellent hybrid with petals which flare open sideways in warm sunshine, displaying the inner tutu superbly. This frill is strongly marked with deep emerald green at the notched tips. The flowers are well rounded and pleasantly symmetrical, held over glaucous foliage. The little outward flick of the outermost petals of the inner frill, when the plant is first opening, is very characteristic.
Blooming can be from late winter onwards, but it is concentrated towards the end of the snowdrop season. A reliable grower though true stock is increasingly difficult to obtain and many stocks appear mis-named.
