Description
This species bears prostrate flattened leaves fringed with fine white hairs.
The bracts around the flowers (which lend so much to the beauty of Haemanthus) are bright crimson and fleshy, and are the largest in the genus. The clustered flowers in the centre are of the same intense crimson with the anthers picked out in yellow.
